Warm weather, hot dogs, smores and great fun!

A few years ago when we were in Kimberly, BC visting Alan's brother Ken, he had a number of brick fire pits that he had made on his property in Perry Creek. We admired them and had fun roasting hot dogs and stuff over them. When we got back to his house we realized he had a disassembeled one in his front yard. He offered it to Alan and against his better judgement(because of the weight) we loaded it aboard our van and brought it home. He found a spot in our back yard and reassembled it and it has provided us with lots of fun and good memories...probably our best investment and it didn't cost us a cent.

This is the one on Ken's property

This is our version in our back yard......

Before Chelsea left on her mission, she and her friends spent many hours talking and eating around it....late into the night sometimes...and I am sure she has fond memories of those times...

Here are some of the friends who visited the night before her mission

Stephanie and Shannon and their children have probably gotten the most use of it....and we make use of it whenever Erin and Craig and their families visit and of course the weather co-operates which is often not the case.

Well yesterday was probably the warmest of the spring here so far and we all decided it was time to start another season of the firepit....we call it that but reality is we can't have a fire in our subdivision but we do well with briquets.....and it is tons of fun......

So once again .......thank you sooooooooo much Ken and Valerie!!!!!
